Advanced Pistol Shooting Seminar

This is student driven seminar based on Israeli Combat Point Shooting techniques and intended to improve participants real-life defensive shooting skills. NOTE: This is not NRA endorsed training.

This seminar is designed around Israeli Combat Point Shooting adjusted for personal defense scenarios and builds skills on top of the basic courses such as NRA Basics of Pistol Shootings, NRA Basic Personal Protection In The Home, NRA Basics Of Personal Protection Outside The Home.
This seminar will cover at least the following topics:

Presentation (aka “Israeli draw”, stance, grip)

Malfunction clearing
-
Rapid and multiple target shooting
-
One hand shooting
-
Shooting from cover/concealment
The following topics are specifically not covered:
-
Shooting fundamentals
-
Any legal topics
-
Operating as part of the team or with partner
-
"Hand to hand"/"Force on force" training
When (1.5 days):
-
TBD (Sat): 9am - 6pm (Classroom, Dry fire).

TBD (Sun): 9am - 1pm (Range, Live fire).
Where:
-
Issaquah Sportsmen Club. (Day 1)
Legal requirements:
-
US Citizenship or Permanent Residency (aka GreenCard) or Alien Firearms License.

No felonies or similar issues with the law that may prevent you from possessing firearms.
Participation requirements:
-
Completion of basic shooting course such as NRA Basics Of Personal Protection In The Home or similar level of training is required.

Reliable semiautomatic pistol with at least 2 magazines
-
300 rounds of factory loaded ammunition
-
Reasonable holster on wearable belt
-
At least 5 dummy cartridges
NOTE: The gear that you actually carry or plan to carry is highly recommended
Safety gear:
-
Hearing protection: I recommend "doubling" muffs with earplugs when shooting at indoor range.

Eye protection: If you don’t wear optical glasses, safety glasses are required (also available at Amazon) – You can purchase fancy shooting glasses, but I personally shoot with the cheapest “yellow” glasses from Home Depot and do not care if I damage them.

Knee pads or similar knee protection is recommended but not required
